For all these reasons it has been declared a Historic-Artistic Site.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image \\&quot;wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"560\" src=\"https:\/\/dondetelleven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/1.webp\" alt=\"imagen en forma de coraz\u00f3n con fotos de Culla\" class=\"wp-image-5755\" style=\"width:500px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dondetelleven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/1.webp 700w, https:\/\/dondetelleven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/1-568x454.webp 568w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-su-historia\">Its history<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To tell you very briefly about its origins, I would like to tell you that documentation has been found about the beginnings of Culla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">It dates back to the time of the Muslim kingdoms. In the 13th century it was conquered by Don Blasco de Alag\u00f3n and in 1303 it became part of the Order of the Temple, who were mainly interested in this site due to its strategic location between Aragon and Valencia, being an essential point for the expansion of Christianity.\nCulla is currently part of the Templar Territory project in the province of Castell\u00f3n, together with the municipalities of Alcal\u00e1 de Xivert and Pe\u00f1\u00edscola.\nPe\u00f1\u00edscola Templar Territory\nAlcal\u00e1 de Xivert - Templar Territory<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"aioseo-asi-fue-nuestra-visita-a-culla\">This was our visit to Culla<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>We did this excursion in August in our car, we had no problems getting there, the route is well signposted and the road access is good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Being foresighted we got up a little early and so when we arrived in Culla it was about 10 am, the village was very quiet and this allowed us to take photos with more details.\nWe started the visit in the Ronda de San Roc street, where we found the part of the wall with 3 big buttresses in a very good state of conservation and following the informative panels we made the tour of all the highlights of the village.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"475\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/dondetelleven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/calle-pla-Culla-475x640.webp\" alt=\"calle t\u00edpica de Culla con camino empedrado\" class=\"wp-image-4819\" style=\"object-fit:cover;width:500px;height:700px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dondetelleven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/calle-pla-Culla-475x640.webp 475w, https:\/\/dondetelleven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/calle-pla-Culla-222x300.webp 222w, https:\/\/dondetelleven.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/calle-pla-Culla.webp 519w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">There are 18 points or information panels, among them we came across the Mirador de San Roc, the Plaza del Pardal, a former meeting point, where the \u2018Socarrats\u2019, one of the oldest in the Valencian Community, stand out in the upper part of the houses. Next to the Perxet we find the old prison used during the Carlist Wars and the Civil War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This brings us to the final point, the font portal, which can also be the start of the route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> It is very close to the visitor reception centre, where we were very kindly attended to and given maps and instructions on how to follow the route.
